Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced and highly collaborative
Health Program Administrator to lead and oversee the operations of the
Medical Staff Administration Office. This key leadership position manages the full scope and function of medical staff administrative services, ensuring continuous compliance with complex regulatory, accreditation, and certification requirements from agencies such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), California Department of Public Health (CDPH), The Joint Commission, and the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). The incumbent serves as the organization’s primary subject matter expert and resource on medical staff regulatory standards, credentialing administration, bylaws governance, peer review support, and survey readiness. This role also provides operational oversight of medical staff processes, personnel, fiscal management, quality initiatives, and committee coordination while promoting strong physician engagement, patient safety, and sustained organizational compliance.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:- Manage and oversee the operations, staff, systems, and workflows of the Medical Staff Administration Office.
- Ensure compliance with CMS, CDPH, The Joint Commission, ACHC, and other applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on medical staff regulatory compliance, accreditation, credentialing administration, bylaws, rules, and governance processes.
- Oversee medical staff meetings, committee coordination, records, reports, and administrative support functions.
- Support physician engagement, medical staff satisfaction, and effective communication between providers, leadership, and departments.
- Manage credentialing-related processes, including actions, investigations, adverse decisions, and provider performance review support.
- Lead regulatory readiness, hospital survey activities, corrective action planning, and sustained compliance efforts.
- Participate in quality improvement, peer review, OPPE/FPPE, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the office operating budget and related fiscal decisions.
- Supervise assigned professional and support staff, including workflow delegation, performance oversight, and training.
- Compile, analyze, and maintain medical staff data, quality metrics, records, and reports for leadership and regulatory agencies.
- Provide input on facility planning, expansion, and operational design to support regulatory and medical staff requirements.
- Promote positive customer relations, safe work practices, and efficient use of organizational resources.
