UPMC Presbyterian is seeking a full-time Lead CT Technologist to join our team! This position offers a flexible daylight schedule, consisting of two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts, along with rotating weekend and holiday coverage—no call required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols alongside of or in place of advanced technologists and communicates results back to departmental leadership.
  • Performs all responsibilities of CT Tech I and Advanced CT Tech II.
  • Leads orientation and training for new hires, students and other medical personnel; ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame.
  • Responsible for offering remediation with technologists when necessary.
  • Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.
  • Assists in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.
  • Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the supervisor.
  • Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program.
  • CT Specialty Boards Completed.
  • 3 years CT experience required.
  • Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • ARRT certified as a CT Technologist.
  • CPR or BLS Required.
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
  • ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Act 34
