The Strategy, Digital and Innovation (SDI) team forges the strategic direction of Wells Fargo, provides and manages our digital foundation and common capabilities, and transforms our business models to meet evolving customer needs and grow the company. The Wells Fargo Customer Digital Design Innovation team creates digital Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking experiences that allow our customers to manage their company’s relationship with Wells Fargo confidently and securely and support their business operations. We work closely with Product and Technology partners to ensure our vision and designs are outcome-oriented and customer-centric with a keen focus on delivering value to our customers and for our business. Holistic experience strategy ensures we frame problems effectively to address key needs and pain points throughout the customer journey. While we have individual expertise across product design, content design, research, and design delivery and operations, we all act as empowered designers and leaders, informing and influencing outcomes with clear rationale. As a Content Designer, you will be responsible for defining, planning, and creating consumable, customer-centric information design and content for our B2B customers, simplifying complexity through uncomplicated information hierarchy, approachable language, and clear instruction. As part of cross-functional teams, you will inform and influence digital product strategy for customer experience outcomes through a multitude of content strategy activities and methods.
You can
- Contribute to the product development lifecycle from start to finish (idea to launch)
- Work with cross-functional teams to collaborate and solve customer pain points
- Present the content design POV and facilitate partner conversations to share design rationale and collect input/feedback
- Perform content audits, create lexicons, and identify opportunities to improve content
- Work and collaborate within an Agile environment
- Create screen (UI) content and customer-facing help content
- Understand the fundamentals of inclusive design and accessibility and how to apply to content
- Be a resourceful self-starter and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
You will be responsible for
- Developing customer-focused content, including UI copy, labels and definitions, in-flow and on-screen messages, and help content in compliance with channel and content standards.
- Engaging across multiple teams to gather and clarify content and requirements.
- Collaborating with User Experience teams to ensure consistency across deliverables to inform editorial standards and considerations.
- Working with project teams to establish timelines and due dates for specific deliverables and provide ongoing status.
- Estimating project scope and managing partner teams’ expectations around process, deliverables, and timelines.
- Analyzing content for consistency, accuracy, adherence to Wells Fargo style and brand standards, and user experience implications.

Responsible for:
- Providing content recommendations visually, when necessary (such as PowerPoint slides to show suggestions).
- Overseeing and guiding day-to-day activities for junior content designers and contract resources.
- Leading project and program initiatives that build upon each other and/or overlap with other initiatives to ensure clarity and consistency, and that we deliver high quality content design services to our partners.
- Leading efforts to descale deliverables and create efficiencies across the content design practice by maintaining content design templates and continuing to refine as necessary.
- Providing peer reviews and feedback as needed.
Salary range is determined by the location of the job
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule:
CA-SF-Financial District: Min: $96,600 Mid: $138,000 Max: $179,400

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: digital customer experience, digital product/program management, digital platforms, or digital consulting demonstrated through work or military experience
- 4+ years of digital design, mobile design experience or a combination of both with a focus on user experience
Other Desired Qualifications - 5+ years of UX writing experience for online and mobile products
- Demonstrated experience with UX design processes, including User-Centered Design principles
- Demonstrated experience creating UI content and interactive message specifications (Samples required)
- Demonstrated experience creating content audits, plans, and lexicons (Samples required)
- Demonstrated experience creating customer-facing help content (Samples required)
- Omni-channel (browser, tablet, smartphone) writing experience for responsive design
- Demonstrated experience with American for Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility compliance requirements and implications for content
- Previous experience in financial services
- Previous experience working with design systems and established standards
- Proficiency with Figma/FigJam, InVision, InVision Freehand, Confluence, JIRA, MS Teams, and standard browsers/office productivity tools
