Allensworth, a busy and growing commercial construction law firm, seeks a full-time Lead Construction Litigation Attorney in its downtown Austin office.
Summary of Responsibilities
The lead attorney is responsible for the management of a large construction and design dispute docket. The docket may involve work on a variety of public or private construction disputes on behalf of owners, design professionals, or contractors. These disputes will often involve construction defects or delays, but they may also involve project closeout or other advice prior to the filing of a lawsuit or arbitration demand.
Working closely with the partner-in-charge of each case, the lead attorney is accountable for crafting litigation strategy, communicating with clients, preparing litigation budgets, and managing the execution of legal strategy, including delegating assignments to supporting associates and paralegals. Strong academic credentials, research, writing, and communication skills, ability to work well with others in a team environment, and high-motor work ethic are essential.
