Position Title: Laboratory Warehouse Technician


Overview:

This position supports warehouse operations through inventory management and organization at the plant's Pack Studios Lab. The role provides essential technical support to Warehouse Teams, Technician Teams, and Scientists in the preparation and execution of experimental activities and studies.

A successful candidate will utilize established procedures to provide technical support for product development, application development, technical service, and product/process research. Standard operating procedures will be used to complete well-defined activities and develop the technical skills needed to perform routine tasks. Understanding how assigned responsibilities relate to other roles is crucial, as is the ability to exchange information within the workgroup in routine situations.

This role requires resolving straightforward problems using existing procedures, with limited opportunities to independently modify procedures or work processes. You will be accountable for managing assigned tasks and ensuring accuracy in your work. Close to moderate supervision and guidance will be provided.


Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively in a laboratory environment, supporting chemists and engineers in the development, screening, and commercialization of new products and processes.
  • Manage and safely execute laboratory work requests, operate relevant laboratory apparatus and testing equipment, and document data.
  • Accurately record readings and observations with relevant equipment and instruments, understanding how duties integrate with the team’s work.
  • Take responsibility for calibration, safe operation, and routine maintenance of both simple and moderately complex instruments or machinery; troubleshoot and initiate repairs as necessary.
  • Maintain inventories of consumable materials, chemicals, and supplies by anticipating usage rates, order lead times, and following purchasing procedures.
  • Communicate issues promptly and effectively to Technology Leaders or Lead Scientists to enable or accelerate problem resolution.
  • Actively participate in team meetings to discuss safety, process improvement, problem solving, and other group or departmental topics.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Associate’s Degree with emphasis in Process Technology, Chemistry, or a related field, plus 2–3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
