Shifts:
3rd shift: Sunday-Wednesday, 2am-12:30pm
2nd shift: Tuesday-Wednesday and Friday-Saturday, 12pm-10:30pm
2nd shift: Wednesday-Saturday, 12pm-10:30pm
Pay Range: $17-$20/hr (dependent on level of prior experience)
Day-to-Day:
Insight Global is looking to hire a laboratory technician for a client of ours in the New Berlin, WI area. Below are general responsibilities.
- Complete laboratory testing on all incoming samples in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner; ensure sample turnaround time goals are met or exceeded.
- Sample preparation, processing detection sponges, plate reading.
- Responsible for preparatory processing of incoming samples, in compliance with all applicable standard operating procedures and quality systems.
- Care and maintenance of equipment associated with this testing.
Desired Traits:
- AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory practices or willingness to be trained.
- Excellent communication and professionalism.
- Attention to detail, excellent work ethic, self sufficient mindset.
Plusses:
- Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.
- Experience in a food testing lab or other lab testing settings.
