TalentFish is casting a line for a Laboratory Assistant to join a growing scientific testing environment in Lowell, Arkansas. What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, or related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to accurately document and analyze test results
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn laboratory software systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow established procedures and testing protocols

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of fabrics, textiles, or related materials
  • Experience working in a laboratory, quality assurance, or testing environment
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
  • Experience using laboratory instrumentation and testing equipment

What You'll Do

  • Assist laboratory personnel with sample preparation, testing activities, and documentation
  • Process laboratory samples and accurately record testing results
  • Build, modify, and maintain basic test setups and laboratory equipment
  • Perform testing using standard laboratory instruments and procedures
  • Maintain testing equipment and ensure laboratory workspaces remain organized and compliant
  • Enter, manage, and retrieve data using laboratory software systems
  • Follow established test plans, procedures, and datasheets
  • Evaluate sample performance and testing outcomes
  • Record, interpret, and communicate test results to laboratory and engineering teams
  • Prepare charts, graphs, and reports summarizing findings
  • Review testing data and observations with supervisors and engineers
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operating instructions
  • Examine customer samples and learn appropriate testing methods based on application requirements
  • Support customer testing activities and ensure evaluation criteria are properly documented
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within laboratory operations
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, security, and compliance requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Compensation & Benefits

The expected pay range for this position is $15-$16 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
