We, EOS - world market leader for industrial 3D printing, are looking for a detail-oriented person for assembly of industrial additive manufacturing equipment. This will involve electrical wiring and electromechanical assembly.
Your Mission
•Work in the R&D lab to conduct tensile testing and other laboratory tests to provide project and research support. These tests may include, but are not limited to particle size distribution, inert gas fusion, Hall Flow, electron and light microscopy and density testing
•Learn to operate state-of-the-art industrial metal additive manufacturing systems
•Assist in developing new alloys and processing parameters for laser powder bed fusion
•Improve testing equipment workflow including powder testing, metallographic preparation and inspection
•Correlate part properties with print parameters and other build variables
•Assist with the upkeep of laboratory facilities and daily laboratory operations
•Perform photography, data analysis and data records management in line with the scope of project(s)
•Summarize test results in report and presentation formats
•Other duties as assigned by management
Your Talents
•Must be currently seeking a Bachelors/Masters degree in the field of mechanical engineering, materials science/engineering, metallurgical engineering or similar
•Experience using sensitive laboratory equipment according to ISO, ASTM standards and work instructions
•Familiar with testing standards for tensile testing; experience performing tests is a plus
•Experience with metallography sectioning/polishing samples for micro-structural analysis is a plus
•Experience in metal additive manufacturing, ideally powder-based technologies is preferred
•Software skills: MS Excel, Labview, Minitab, INSTRON Bluehill are a plus
•Demonstrate awareness of industrial and laboratory safety practices
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•A demonstrated ability to follow written procedures, maintain records and to learn scientific testing methods on the job is a must
