Focus: Infrastructure, Networking, & Data Center Operations
The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-caliber Infrastructure Lead to join a world-class global mobility and manufacturing leader. This isn’t a typical "sit-behind-a-desk" IT role. You will be the technical backbone of a high-output production environment, serving as the final point of escalation for complex infrastructure incidents and the primary guardian of site uptime.
If you thrive in environments where "five-nines" reliability is the standard and enjoy a mix of deep technical troubleshooting and physical infrastructure management, this is your next career move.
The Day-to-Day
- Mission-Critical Support: Act as the L3 escalation point for production-impacting incidents, utilizing your expertise in Windows/Linux and Networking to restore services.
- Infrastructure Stewardship: Manage the physical lifecycle of the data center—from server rack configurations and inventory audits to escorting specialized vendors for critical maintenance.
- Proactive Monitoring: Keep a pulse on environment health using enterprise tools (PRTG, SCOM, Nagios) to identify and mitigate risks before they impact production.
- Strategic Project Work: Lead local and regional infrastructure refreshes, server deployments, and upgrades, particularly during planned non-production windows and plant shutdowns.
- Documentation Excellence: Standardize L3 processes and maintain rigorous documentation to ensure compliance and operational continuity.
What You Bring to the Table
- The Technical Core: A robust understanding of the OSI Model and TCP/IP protocols. You should be comfortable discussing network use-cases and administration.
- Systems Fluency: Deep experience supporting and developing within Windows and Linux operating systems and end-user device ecosystems.
- Incident Command: Proven experience in a 24/7 "On-Call" capacity. You understand the urgency of P1/P2 incidents and know how to drive a Bridge toward resolution.
- Operational Grit: Experience managing data center logistics, including vendor coordination, hardware troubleshooting, and rack-and-stack activities.
- Tooling Familiarity: Exposure to monitoring suites like Nagios, SCOM, or PRTG, and ticketing systems (ITSM/ServiceNow) for Change Management (RFCs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Cloud Computing integration within on-premise infrastructure.
- A "Customer-First" mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or high-volume production environment.
