Junior Test Engineer

Job Title: Junior Validation Engineer (Automotive)

Job Summary:

Support the validation and testing of automotive systems and components to ensure they meet design requirements, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in executing validation plans for vehicle systems (e.g., electrical, infotainment, ADAS, powertrain)
• Perform functional, integration, and system-level testing
• Conduct tests on vehicles, test benches (HIL/SIL), and lab setups
• Record, analyze, and report test results and defects
• Work with cross-functional teams (design, software, manufacturing) to troubleshoot issues
• Support root cause analysis and validation of fixes
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards and test procedures
• Maintain proper documentation of test cases, reports, and validation results

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle architecture
• Familiarity with testing tools and methodologies (HIL, CAN, diagnostics)
• Understanding of communication protocols like CAN, LIN, or Ethernet
• Exposure to tools like CANoe, CANalyzer, MATLAB, or Python is a plus
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have:

• Internship or project experience in automotive testing/validation
• Knowledge of standards like ISO 26262 (functional safety)
• Basic scripting/automation skills
