Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- Drive global packaging alignment between six MPN facilities
- Provide packaging solutions for robotic automation at MWLC
- New Part Setup (packaging) for MWLC
- Kit packaging setup and maintenance

Typical task breakdown:
- This position requires a mix of individual task completion, participation on project teams, and reporting out to leaders.
- Specifying or determining packaging specifications for high-volume material in corrugated cartons.
- Ensuring quality of indirect materials.
- Collaborating with shop floor employees to improve packaging of parts.
- Working cross functionally with other groups to make sure packaging fulfils quality and safety needs.
Interaction with team:
- Close collaboration with other packaging engineers, operations team, systems team, and supply chain team.
Team Structure
- Three packaging engineers are located at this facility. This position’s supervisor manages 6-8 employees at four different sites. The North America Packaging Team: this position is a part of has about 30 packaging engineers at 20 sites. There is close collaboration among packaging engineers across the various sites.
Work environment:
- Office environment at a large distribution center. Some time will be spent on the shop floor reviewing packaging grief, safety issues, packaging automation, etc. PPE will be provided.
Education & Experience Required:
- Years of experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (don’t necessarily require packaging experience if they have an engineering degree) or relevant industrial packaging design experience (1-2 years)
- Degree requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Supply Chain or relevant industrial packaging design experience
