Title: IT Intern


Reports to: Cybersecurity Manager


Job Summary:

At the direction of the Cybersecurity Manager or his designee, assist the IT team in supporting daily technology operations throughout the office. This includes updating documentation, Configurating Reports and computer properties, installation of software, basic troubleshooting, and general helpdesk support tasks. The IT intern will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment and will contribute to maintaining a stable and effective technology infrastructure.


The position is in-office and will require approximately 20-30 hours per week (flexible on which weekdays worked).


This position is a part-time, seasonal role with no benefits. The duration of this internship is intended to be approximately 90 days.


The rate of pay for this internship will be $20 per hour.


Responsibilities:

  • Update and organize IP address database, rack diagram and procedural documentation
  • Support the IT team in resolving basic technical issues and helpdesk tickets
  • Update fiber optic termination information on file
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of hardware and software assets
  • Help ensure IT security protocols are followed during installations and troubleshooting
  • Provide on-site and remote support to users as needed
  • Assist in documenting IT procedures and workflows
  • Other duties as assigned by the Cybersecurity Manager or his designee


Education and/or Experience:

  • Enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with hardware installation and troubleshooting preferred
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts is a plus
