IT Infrastructure Manager

Salary up to $125k, depending on experience


We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to support a recently acquired business operation in Elmhurst, Illinois. This individual will initially report to the Senior Director of IT and serve as the primary IT leader for the local business unit. The role will focus heavily on infrastructure, systems, and operational IT management, with potential future expansion into applications oversight. This is a highly visible role requiring both technical depth and leadership capability. The IT Manager will work closely with local leadership, while helping align and integrate the acquired company’s IT environment with broader corporate standards and initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the overall IT infrastructure and systems environment for the Elmhurst operation
  • Lead day-to-day IT operations, troubleshooting, and escalation management
  • Supervise and mentor two direct reports, including a Compliance Manager and an IT support/patch management resource
  • Conduct employee performance reviews, coaching, and ongoing team management responsibilities
  • Evaluate the current infrastructure environment and identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and integration with corporate IT
  • Support server environments, cloud-based systems, networking, and business-critical applications
  • Serve as the primary local IT contact for leadership and end users, addressing a wide range of operational and strategic IT needs
  • Collaborate with corporate IT teams on infrastructure, security, compliance, and systems initiatives
  • Help drive synergies between the acquired business and the broader organization
  • Ensure stable, secure, and efficient IT operations across the business


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of IT infrastructure and systems experience, including leadership or management responsibilities
  • Strong hands-on experience with servers, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise systems administration
  • Broad “jack-of-all-trades” technical background across infrastructure, systems, networking, and IT operations
  • Experience managing people, including performance management and employee development
  • Ability to understand how systems and applications interact with business operations
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment with both strategic and hands-on responsibilities


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or operational business environments
  • Experience working through acquisitions, integrations, or IT standardization initiatives
  • Familiarity with application management or business systems oversight
