IT Field & Desktop Support Technician

Role Summary

The IT Field & Desktop Support Analyst provides advanced technical support for end-user computing environments, resolving incidents and service requests that cannot be addressed at Level 1. This role focuses on desktop, laptop, mobile, peripheral, and collaboration technologies, with an emphasis on timely resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement. The analyst acts as an escalation point and works closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-user support for Windows 10/11, macOS, iOS, Android
  • Manage Zero Touch deployments using Intune and JAMF
  • Support Zebra printers, handheld scanners, warehouse mobility devices
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, enterprise printing, and AV/Teams conference rooms
  • Install and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure
  • Support routers, switches, access points (Cisco/Meraki preferred)
  • Resolve network issues (latency, packet loss, connectivity)
  • Document and manage tickets in ServiceNow
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades and IT projects
  • Provide scheduled on-call support

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of experience in field, desktop, and network support
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Endpoint technologies (Windows, macOS, mobile devices)
  • Enterprise printing & barcode scanning solutions
  • Networking (Routing, Switching, TCP/UDP, MPLS)
  • 2+ years of Cisco/Meraki experience
  • Experience with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow preferred)
  • Willingness to travel extensively

Preferred

  • Manufacturing or distribution IT support experience
  • Microsoft Server (Print/File Services)
  • CCNA or CompTIA Network+
