Job Title: Investment Operations Specialist (Contract)
Location: Harrisburg, PA (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Duration: 3–6 months contract (possible extension)
Pay Rate: $16–$18/hour (W2)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Investment Operations Specialist to support back-office financial operations. This role focuses on processing transactions, managing financial data, and ensuring accuracy across banking and accounting systems. The position involves working closely with internal teams and external financial institutions to maintain smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Download and review reports and files from banking platforms
- Upload and process financial data within internal systems
- Enter and maintain transaction records in accounting systems
- Process wire transfers, ACH payments, and other cash movements
- Support certificate of deposit (CD) programs, including rate and transaction processing
- Reconcile financial data between internal systems and bank records
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in transactions
- Coordinate with banks and internal teams to resolve operational issues
- Process check orders, deposit tickets, and lockbox transactions
- Assist with stop payments and fraud-related cases
- Prepare and support routine financial reporting activities
- Participate in operational projects and process improvements
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred
- 1+ years of experience in banking operations, financial services, or accounting support
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with transaction processing, reconciliation, or cash operations
- Exposure to wire transfers, ACH processing, or banking systems
- Knowledge of VBA or advanced Excel functions
Work Environment
- Hybrid work model with 3 days onsite per week in Harrisburg, PA
- Structured, process-driven environment with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Collaboration with internal teams and external financial institutions
- Minimal to no client-facing interaction
Additional Information
- Overtime is not required
- Contract extension may be possible based on performance and business needs
