Job Summary


As a Vice President in Private Capital Advisory & Solutions, you will leverage your experience in developing strong relationships with corporate client and leading global investors, and work across a range of private capital products. You will be responsible for originating, structuring, and executing private market transactions, including private equity placements, growth capital, pre-IPO financings, secondaries, minority recapitalizations, and other bespoke financing solutions.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client point of contact and lead banker on private capital transactions.
  • Review and coordinate the analytical work of junior bankers to advance the marketing and execution process.
  • Refine marketing and execution materials for maximum client impact, including confidential information memoranda, investor presentations, and term sheets.
  • Oversee the creation and review of financial projection models and valuation analyses tailored to private market transactions.
  • Identify, assess, and manage all risks associated with private capital deals, including financial, legal, and reputational risks.
  • Liaise with internal and external parties on transactions (e.g., lawyers, accountants, counterparties, investors).
  • Lead client negotiations, Q&A processes, and management interviews with prospective investors and counterparties.
  • Support the origination and execution of private placements, direct lending, and other bespoke capital solutions.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Prior work experience in an investment banking front office role, ideally with exposure to private capital markets or private placements.
  • Experience in training and mentoring junior bankers.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including advanced Excel modeling and valuation work.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, with the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative solutions.
  • Adaptability, able to manage projects independently and ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with clients in a professional and mature manner.
  • Excellent understanding of financial, legal, and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks in today’s environment, particularly in private capital transactions.
