This position is the primary point of contact for all medical malpractice intakes with extensive client interaction.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage a complex, busy, and demanding case load.
  • Work with sensitive subject matter.
  • Be willing and able to independently manage medical records requests and review medical records.
  • Research and aid in identifying potential medical expert consultants and help prepare the attorney for medical expert investigations.
  • Be prepared for intellectually challenging work that demands critical thinking and sound judgment.
  • Be willing and able to communicate with clients, experts, vendors, and referring attorneys, providing on-going updates.
  • Have strong analytical, drafting, and proofreading skills. Attention to detail is critical.
  • Be able to work independently and to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Possess strong time management and project management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines while remaining flexible to respond to frequent changes and delays.


Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of medical malpractice experience (outside of a law firm will be considered)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams); Adobe Acrobat; Zoom
  • Experience with and/or willingness to learn and use case management software (Filevine) and other legal research tools
  • Ability to interact with clients with empathy, compassion, and professionalism, especially when discussing sensitive subject matter
  • Experience with settlement process and complaint drafting is highly desirable
  • Paralegal Certification
