INVENTORY COORDINATOR

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production operations, and ensuring proper inventory control throughout the facility. This role performs cycle counts, inventory audits, ERP transactions, material verification, and inventory reconciliations while working closely with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Production Control teams to ensure material availability and data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Verify inventory records against physical stock and investigate discrepancies.
  • Process inventory adjustments and corrections within the ERP system.
  • Capture and record scrap material transactions from Production and Warehouse activities.
  • Perform BOM-related inventory adjustments and bonded part reconciliations.
  • Audit inventory location transfers, including inbound and outbound movements.
  • Verify and support material picking activities for production orders.
  • Confirm BOM usage and accuracy of materials issued to production.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages or replenishment needs.
  • Validate part costs and maintain accurate bin and storage location information.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and discrepancies.
  • Support Production Control by assisting with work order transactions and data entry.
  • Maintain inventory traceability, labeling, and compliance with company procedures.
  • Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Warehouse teams to resolve inventory issues.
  • Support annual physical inventories, audits, and other duties assigned by management.
  • Perform other annual duties as assigned by supervisor or management.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency with CPIM and/or CPM certification –or- High school diploma or equivalency with 3 years of warehouse/stock room and logistics experience.
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2 - 5 years of experience and/or training in Logistics & Warehouse or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of inventory control, warehouse, materials, or supply chain experience preferred.
  • Trained to operate motorized forklift equipment and manual pallet jacks.
  • Working knowledge of inventory and MRP/ERP system, including Bill of Material (BoM) documents.
  • Good computer and analytical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Outstanding ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast paced environment without compromising accuracy.
  • Demonstrated superior organizational skills, communication skills, and professionalism.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to demand.
