Inventory Analyst

What You Will Be Doing:
Purchasing
- Coordinate weekly with departments to review inventory levels and needs; verify physical inventory against system records.
- Place purchase orders and communicate updates such as delivery dates, backorders, delays, or changes.
- Review planned purchasing information and coordinate material demand with the relevant parties.
- Prepare and submit requisitions for planned purchasing and plant needs.
- Assist with company reports, including drop reports, journal errors, and open purchase orders.
- Investigate issues with purchase orders, delinquent orders, discrepancies, and material returns.
Receiving
- Receive all inventory and verify quantities; assist with receiving, counting, and sorting items by department.
- Communicate with the shipping/receiving department, print labels, and report damaged products.
- Work with the department leads to learn the products and counting processes. Receive and process inbound parcels (FedEx, UPS, etc.), ensuring items are opened, counted, and matched to packing slips or invoices.
Inventory Management
- Perform daily cycle counts according to schedule.
- Complete weekly inventory counts for individual departments.
- Conduct monthly hardware inventory counts.
- Manage transfer products.
- Work with the Quality team to process damaged or poor-quality materials.
- Prepare weekly inventory variance reports.
- Provide timely and accurate inventory information to Customer Service and Operations Management.
- Print and maintain hardware inventory journals.
- Gather, label, and stage product all required items for production.
- Receive hardware, match items to purchase orders, and enter data into the system.
- Assemble product according to customer specifications and layout requirements.
- Appropriately package product for customer delivery.
- Send daily count of product shipping to the shipping team.
- Communicate with the department managers regarding job questions or information.
- Follow up on daily shipping report.
- Work with teams to identify issues related to missed shipments.
- Monitor critical orders to ensure timely completion.
- Investigate missing shipments, trace root causes, and resolve issues.
- Serve as a liaison between office personnel and production teams for expedited related inquiries.
- Collaborate with departments to recommend process improvements to improve on-time delivery and reduce waste due to poor quality.

- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs independently.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments (heat, cold, humidity).
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Commitment to safe work practices.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
