About the Position
For our client, we are currently seeking an experienced Interim Plant Manager who will take full responsibility for overall plant operations during an interim assignment. The role covers production, supporting functions, and maintenance. As the local operational leader, you will manage a team and ensure stable, efficient, and high-quality operations throughout the assignment period.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Lead all plant operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a strong performance culture
- Develop, coach, and support managers, supervisors, and operational teams
Production & Maintenance Management
- Oversee daily manufacturing activities and ensure production targets are met
- Improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime through effective maintenance strategies
- Monitor and manage key operational KPIs
Quality & Process Improvement
- Ensure compliance with customer and industry quality standards
- Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence methodologies
- Identify and execute opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and process stability
Planning & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead production planning and capacity management activities
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Commercial teams
- Support execution of strategic and business objectives
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in a plant leadership role
- Proven experience in leading operational improvement and transformation initiatives
- Strong knowledge of production, maintenance, quality systems, planning, and Lean Manufacturing
- Experience in industrial manufacturing; ceramics or related industries is an advantage
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
