MajorDuties

  • Teach a variety of classes in the Department of Systems Engineering (DSE) as part of the Systems Engineering (SE), Engineering Management (EM), and Systems and Decision Sciences (SDS) Programs.
  • Work under the direction of faculty within DSE.
  • Instruct undergraduate cadets in DSE courses such as Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, or Systems and Decision Sciences courses.
  • Participate in professional development activities within the Department and at the Academy including the Department’s Faculty Development Workshop (FDW).
  • Develop cadets in voluntary curricular and academic extracurricular activities, the character, military, or physical development programs, or community activities contributing to cadet development.
  • Serve in and enrich all facets of DSE's mission including teaching, scholarship, service, faculty development, and cadet development.
  • Participate in DSE, Academy, and professional society governance including, but not limited to serving on and leading standing and ad hoc committees.
  • Advise and assist a limited number of cadets in course selection and capstone projects.
