Job Title: Injection Molding Process Technician

Responsibilities

• Set up and start up molding machines, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Monitor and troubleshoot processing problems, performing preventative maintenance tasks, and documenting process changes.
• Verify the set-up of molds, auxiliary equipment, materials, and injection molding machines according to SOP and VOP instructions.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills and a positive attitude through interactions, showing dedication, commitment, respect, pride, and trust.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, and hand tools safely and efficiently while handling production material.
• Package finished products as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in plastics processing.
• Proficiency in injection molding, plastic injection molding, and mold setup.
• Ability to troubleshoot and monitor the quality of parts for shipment.
• Knowledge of processing parameters for various tools.
• Capability to operate forklifts, hoists, and hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Processing Technician or equivalent preferred.
• Working knowledge of mold changes, hydraulics, electrical and injection molding equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting using root cause analysis.
• Capability to lift items up to 40 pounds.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with shifts available during 1st and 3rd shifts. Hours are from 6am to 2:30pm or 10pm to 6:30a

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in San Antonio,TX.
