Job Title: Injection Mold Operator

Job Description

This role is ideal for a talented, energetic, and motivated Injection Mold Operator who will operate and maintain plastic injection molding machines in a high-performance manufacturing environment. You will support production by ensuring machines run efficiently, parts meet quality standards, and processes continuously improve. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions closely, and the stamina to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining productivity and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Operate plastic injection molding machines safely and efficiently according to established procedures and work instructions.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet quality requirements and production standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on injection molding equipment as assigned.
  • Complete preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on equipment as scheduled and report any issues promptly.
  • Follow detailed manufacturing directions and standard operating procedures, both written and verbal.
  • Maintain adherence to all quality standards, including inspection of parts and documentation as required.
  • Perform repetitive production tasks while consistently maintaining required production rates and quality levels.
  • Provide recommendations for general production process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards throughout the shift.
  • Collaborate with the Injection Molding Lead and team members to support daily production goals.
  • Work on additional projects and tasks as assigned or directed by the Injection Molding Lead.

Essential Skills

  • Experience operating or working around plastic injection molding equipment or in a plastic injection production environment (preferred).
  • Strong self-motivation with critical attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Dependable work habits, including excellent attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced, high-performance manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and manufacturing directions accurately, both verbally and in writing.
  • Good hand-eye dexterity and manual coordination for handling parts and operating equipment safely.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining consistent quality and production rates.
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as part of daily duties.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time during the shift.
  • Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Work Environment

The role is based in a modern, approximately 55,000 square-foot manufacturing facility. You will work around plastic injection molding machines and related production equipment in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional additional work on Fridays as needed. The position requires standing for most of the shift, performing repetitive tasks, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The production area is non-climate-controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. You will be expected to follow standard safety practices and wear appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing and industrial setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oviedo, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.00/hr.
