How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Lead the creation and application of strategies for infection prevention and control.
  • Actively monitor and investigate potential infection sources to ensure swift control and resolution.
  • Stay current on and apply the latest regulations and standards from relevant health authorities and professional bodies.
  • Collaborate in designing and delivering engaging educational programs focused on infection prevention and epidemiology.
  • Share surveillance data and critical prevention information with public health authorities at the local, state, and federal levels.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing preferred. Licensed as a RegisteredNurse in Florida preferred. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license formulti-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional requirements you'll need

  • Certified Certification specializing in Infection Control credentialed from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC)
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree (BSN, MSN, MPH)
  • 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with an alternating weekly on call schedule. On call schedule is telephone calls only, no additional onsite call requirements.
