Mid-sized manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our production operations at our Carrollton Branch by maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is heavily focused on machine reliability and electrical/mechanical systems, while also serving as the first responder for facility-related issues. This person must work well independently and, on a team, as they will work closely with the production team, Production Manager and General Manager to ensure that all machines are working to original standards. This person must be able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment and be able to perform under pressure.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Electrical troubleshooting & repair
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics
- Strong mechanical maintenance background
- PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience preferred
- Electrical license preferred
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- High attention to detail
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
Job Duties:
- Perform weekly and monthly preventative maintenance on forklifts and plant equipment
- Ensure all machinery operates at optimal performance standards
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to management
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and support PLC-controlled systems, including diagnosing faults, assisting with program adjustments, and coordinating with external specialists when needed
- Diagnose issues, complete minor repairs, and determine when escalation is needed for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
- Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues (HVAC, plumbing, building systems), coordinating with the Branch General Manager and Operations team to prioritize and resolve needs, and coordinating external vendors for specialized repairs.
- Maintain trailers to company specifications and DOT regulations
- Perform other facility related duties as assigned
