Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is a key member of the maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production and facility equipment. This role involves performing reactive troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and support production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to reactive maintenance calls to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, tools, and equipment.
- Manage and track spare parts inventory, including fabrication and repair as needed.
- Operate and maintain shop tools, hand tools, and equipment.
- Support continuous improvement and ensure equipment reliability.
Mandatory Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Proficiency with hand tools and shop equipment
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Basic electrical/controls troubleshooting knowledge or experience
- Experience with machine shop tools (lathe, mill, drill press, welding, etc.)
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to work in a dusty environment
- Flexibility to work B/C shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Mechatronics or technical education
- Prior maintenance/mechanic experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
- Experience in welding, fabrication, or machine shop operations
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Experience with rigging or moving heavy equipment
