Industrial Maintenance Technician
Location: Akron, OH
Pay Rate: $28.00 – $40.00 per hourPosition Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform essential maintenance duties to keep the plant, equipment, machinery, and grounds in a safe and efficient operating condition. Working under the general direction of the Departmental Foreman, you will normally work without constant supervision to design, install, and repair complex mechanical and electronic systems.Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnosis & Repair: Diagnose and fix issues with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as electrical equipment including motors, rollers, and resistors.
  • Specialized Machinery Support: Maintain and repair stamping and welding machines, press lines, straighteners, and feeders.
  • Systems Maintenance: Install and perform electrical maintenance on lighting systems, power systems, punch presses, resistance welders, induction heaters, cranes, and conveyors.
  • Mobile Equipment: Perform repairs and maintenance on tow motors and forklifts.
  • Design & Development: Design and construct electronic and mechanical mechanisms for new or existing equipment.
  • Innovation: Develop new products through experimental procedures and provide recommendations to management for facility improvements.
  • Leadership & Training: Instruct and guide others in work related to maintenance duties and safety practices.
  • Facility Care: Maintain a clean and orderly work area while observing all safety rules and practices.
Technical Skills & Tools
  • Equipment Mastery: Proficiency with any and all miscellaneous hand and bench-type tools, as well as plant machinery such as tappers, shears, and feedlines.
  • Material Knowledge: Expertise in working with nuts, bolts, electrical parts, cleaning fluids, lubricants, and materials used in the construction of electronics and mechanisms.
  • Quality Assurance: Take full responsibility for the quality of work performed throughout the plant when required.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Demonstrated ability to perform all maintenance work on electronic and mechanical equipment without constant supervision.
  • Education: Unless otherwise specified, formal education is not a requirement for this role.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $28.00 - $40.00
