Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Industrial Electrician to join our team on a night shift schedule. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience in PLC programming, HMI, and industrial networking and a proven ability to lead maintenance efforts, optimize equipment performance, and ensure safe, reliable operations.
Responsibilities:
- Install electrical segments for gas mixers, burners, de-ionized water units, air compressors, plant air systems, HVAC units, ultrasonic cleaners, waxers, and plant lighting.
- Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair electrical equipment, solid-state circuits, circuit boards, logic boards, transducers, amplifiers, timing and inspection devices.
- Perform preventive maintenance on assigned electrical systems and document actions taken.
- Identify inefficiencies and potential electrical issues and coordinate resolutions with supervision.
- Program PLCs for proper equipment operation and implement HMI changes as needed.
- Support design, experimentation, and installation of new plant equipment and procedures.
- Maintain effective working relationships and foster a productive work environment.
- Communicate and document work clearly. Read and follow complex instructions and schematics.
- Ensure safe working conditions and enforce safety rules and regulations.
- Provide night-shift coverage as the site’s primary electrician and support overtime as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of industrial manufacturing electrical experience. Night-shift autonomy required.
- Advanced PLC programming capability beyond troubleshooting and testing. Allen-Bradley and Siemens preferred.
- HMI configuration and industrial networking expertise, including switches, devices, and safety networks.
- Proficiency with electrical test equipment, safety control relays/devices, and safety sensors (NCC/PCC).
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics and apply logical troubleshooting methods.
- Working knowledge of AC/DC and high-voltage motors, electro-mechanical devices, transmission systems, and interface units.
- Packaging line experience with equipment such as Signode strappers and Videojet printers.
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems experience in production environments.
- Knowledge of hazardous material handling, confined space practices, and basic NEC familiarity.
- Associate’s degree in electronics or equivalent hands-on experience. Minimum 3–5 years job-related experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Leadership experience or prior team lead responsibilities.
- Experience deploying safety-rated controls and networked safety architectures.
