Position Overview

We are seeking reliable, safety‑focused Industrial

Cleaning Technicians to support two active projects within a large

industrial manufacturing environment at a Tesla facility.

This role supports:

  1. A technical dust‑control cleaning operation (often referred to internally as a “clean room,” though it is not a traditional sterile clean room), and
  2. A battery cell pad / shredding area, which involves more manual, labor‑intensive work.

Candidates may be assigned to one primary workstream,

but flexibility to support either area is important based on site needs.

This is hands‑on, physically demanding, project‑based

work requiring strong attention to detail, consistent attendance, and

comfort working in industrial environments with strict safety protocols.

Project Scopes & Responsibilities

1. Industrial “Clean Room” / Dust‑Control Cleaning

(Technical cleaning — NOT a pharmaceutical or sterile

clean room)

  • Removal of fine paint dust / overspray particles generated from powder coating operations
  • Use of intrinsically safe equipment, including:
    • Pneumatic / specialty vacuums
    • Swiffer‑type dust control tools
  • Focus on dust mitigation and particulate control, not grime or grease
  • Cleaning of:
    • Floors, walls, and surfaces
    • Equipment and structural areas
    • Elevated and hard‑to‑reach spaces (manlifts as needed)
  • Strict PPE compliance required at all times

2. Battery Cell Pad / Shredding Support

(Heavier, dirtier industrial work)

  • Manual labor in outdoor or semi‑enclosed areas
  • Shoveling and handling of materials
  • Working around battery shredding and processing operations
  • Exposure to dirt, debris, and industrial waste (non‑chemical)
  • Requires physical stamina and comfort in less controlled environments

Safety, PPE & Environment

  • Full‑face respirators required (mandatory for clean room activities; frequent use on cell pad)
  • Disposable coveralls and required PPE provided
  • Confined space work may occur, but is:
    • Managed directly by the client’s Health & Safety team
    • Not outsourced to third‑party confined space vendors
  • Industrial factory setting (non‑sterile)
  • No chemical processing exposure

Schedule & Staffing Plan

  • Night shift only: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
  • Schedule provided one week in advance
    • 5 technicians for dust‑control / clean room activity
    • 4–5 technicians for battery cell pad work
    • Total: 9–10 technicians
  • Headcount may fluctuate based on project phase and workload

Required Qualifications & Clearances

All requirements are mandatory — no exceptions

  • OSHA 40‑Hour HAZWOPER Certification
  • Full‑Face Respirator Clearance & Training
  • BG Check more than 7 years
  • Drug Screen (10‑panel)
  • Ability to work extended hours and night shifts consistently

Ideal Candidate Profile

Top traits for success:

  • Strong reliability and attendance
  • Ability to follow detailed safety procedures
  • Physically capable of extended shifts and manual labor
  • Comfortable working in industrial, non‑climate‑controlled environments
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing daily scopes

Nice to have (not required):

  • Industrial cleaning experience
  • Manufacturing or plant experience
  • Dust‑control or environmental services
