PUFF Cannabis Company is looking for an In-House Graphic Designer & Content Creator. This role is the visual engine of our brand, responsible for producing high-volume, high-quality assets for our 12 Michigan retail locations.
The ideal candidate is a master of the Adobe Creative Suite who can pivot between static design and video production. Because our industry is highly regulated, we require a designer with specific Michigan cannabis experience who understands the rules and regulations around Cannabis marketing.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an In-House Graphic Designer, based in Troy, MI.
- High-Volume Design: Execute multiple design projects daily for all 12 locations while maintaining strict brand guidelines. Create engaging assets for our website, social media, in-store graphics, TV screens, billboards, and more.
- Brand Consistency & Compliance: Maintain a cohesive brand identity across all mediums while adhering to strict cannabis industry compliance and regulations.
Qualifications
- Graphic Design: Layout, image editing, visual composition. Experience with large-media bleeds, margins, and resolution. Motion graphics for TV screens and social media.
- Adobe Expert: Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or similar software.
- Typography: Font selection and formatting for effective communication.
- Cannabis Industry Expertise: Understanding of Michigan’s cannabis marketing regulations, including age-gating requirements, prohibited imagery, and mandatory warning placements.
- Videography & Editing: Ability to shoot high-quality video and edit it into polished, professional marketing pieces.
- Speed & Efficiency: Ability to manage a fast-paced workflow, delivering multiple unique designs per day without sacrificing quality.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing both graphic design and video work (cannabis-specific work highly preferred).
- Collaboration: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- File Management and Organization: Organizing files using cloud folders (OneDrive).
- Performance Standards: Expected to meet or exceed the current internal benchmarks for creative output, turnaround speed, and design quality. We are looking for a high-level producer who can immediately integrate into and elevate our existing creative workflow.
