Akkodis is seeking a HVAC Engineering Lab Tech for a Contract job with a client in Louisville, KY. Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the Brazing, Evacuation/Charging of Refrigerants.
Rate Range: $25/hour to $30/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Prepare various HVAC units for testing; involves refrigerant evacuation, leak checking, and charging.
2. Modification/Rework of various HVAC units for testing; involves instrumentation, adding lines for pressure monitoring, temperature instrumentation
3. Monitor and maintain HVAC units on SLAT and Field Test
4. Dump and Weighing of test units
5. Take ownership of a lab area; maintain equipment; order/replenish consumables
6. Maintain refrigerant supplies for multiple areas (R410a, R134a, R32, R454B, R1234yf, R290, Nitrogen)
7. Work with engineers on new model development; prototype units
Skills:
Brazing, Evacuation/Charging of Refrigerants, TC Prep, Organazation, Communication
Education:
Associates Degree (technical) or military equivalent; 10 years HVAC experience preferred.
