Vector Windows is seeking an energetic and driven Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats, building strong relationships, and helping shape the employee experience from recruitment through retention.

Schedule

This role is ideal for someone who prefers afternoon and evening hours, with a typical schedule extending until 8:00–9:00 PM Monday through Friday. Flexible start times may be available, allowing you to build a schedule that works for both you and the business.

What You’ll Do

  • In this role, you’ll partner closely with leaders across the organization to attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent while supporting key HR initiatives that drive business success
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Preparing source documentation needed for new hires, or effective changes in pay, status, or benefits.
  • Establishing, maintaining and controlling personnel, employees, recruitment relations records, files, correspondence and reports.
  • Process new hires, changes, terminations, transfers, promotions, benefits and time and attendance.
  • Preparing and posting job advertisements, screening applications, arranging interviews, and onboarding applicants.
  • Retention and succession planning
  • Administer company policies/procedures
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on federal and state employment laws and regulations (ADA, COBRA, ACA, etc.)
  • Assist with OSHA, Health & Safety record keeping and reporting including all communication with work comp
  • Managing sensitive and confidential matters like personnel relations, employee relations, and organizational changes, planning and protecting the security of information, data and files.
  • Interpreting, assisting and advising employees and managers regarding leave management and benefit administration, and HR procedures and policies within the specified guidelines.
  • Develop a strong partnership with operations to design and implement HR practices/policies to support critical business initiative.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and represent ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Train and provide support to HR team members
  • Continue in relevant educational opportunities
  • Maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations; represent Vector Windows at community events and promote company as appropriate
  • Update job requirements and descriptions as needed


What We’re Looking For

  • May require a bachelor’s degree in a related area and 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related field.
  • 1+ years of recruiting experience is required.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the HR field.
  • Has strong work ethic, always consider the Company’s best interest before making a decision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and professional presence.
