Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This role acts as a primary point of contact for employees and management to ensure a productive and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Lead full-cycle recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and collaborating with hiring managers to select top talent.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Facilitate new hire orientations and onboarding to ensure a seamless integration into the company culture; manage exit interviews and termination procedures.
  • Benefits & Payroll: Assist with the administration of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Support payroll processing and resolve discrepancies.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, conduct internal investigations when necessary, and provide guidance to supervisors on performance management and disciplinary actions.
  • Compliance: Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions (e.g., EEO, ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA).
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; maintain the employee handbook.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date digital and physical employee records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in HR; experience in a multi-client or high-growth environment is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Certification: PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP certification is highly preferred.
