About the Role - The Director of Human Resources leads the firm’s human resources strategy and operations for attorneys and business professionals across multiple offices. This executive role oversees talent management, employee relations, performance management, non-attorney recruiting, compensation/benefits administration, and professional development initiatives.



Responsibilities -



  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Partner with firm leadership on internal investigations, progressive discipline plans, and terminations.
  • Provide counseling, leadership coaching, performance guidance, and conflict resolution support to managers.
  • Prepare and manage the annual HR budget as well as long-term fiscal plans.
  • Oversee the full-cycle recruiting, hiring, and onboarding process for non-lawyer business professionals.
  • Administer performance management, annual salary reviews, and bonus reviews.


Qualifications -



  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate or advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications preferred (SHRM, HRCI, CLM, CEBS).
  • 8 to 10 years of progressive HR leadership or employment law experience.
  • Law firm or professional services environment experience is highly preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of California employment law and employee relations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and executive decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS, payroll, and performance evaluation technologies.

Pay range and compensation package - $200K-$240K plus benefits
