HR Director

SNS Management | Cincinnati, OH

This Role Is for You If…

You’re at a point in your career where you don’t just want to manage HR, you want to build it the right way inside a real operating business.

At SNS Management, we oversee more than $250 million in assets, serve over 4,000 residents daily, and operate with a team of approximately 60 employees across the Greater Cincinnati market.

We have a clear mission:

Deliver the feeling of home.

We believe that mission is only possible if the internal systems that support our team are just as strong, consistent, and intentional as the experience we aim to deliver to residents.

That’s where this role comes in.

We are looking for an HR Director who can help us build the HR function that supports the company we are becoming not the one we were.

What You’ll Be Building:

You will be leading the buildout of a structured, scalable HR function inside a growing company with real operational complexity.

The goal is to create an HR department that:

  • Runs with clear, repeatable workflows
  • Executes with consistency and compliance
  • Supports the team with clarity and confidence
  • Feels approachable and human, not bureaucratic

Internally, the HR function should operate with precision. Externally, it should be experienced as calm, helpful, and trustworthy.

This is how HR supports our mission not through policy alone, but through how the work is delivered every day.

The Role You’ll Play:

This is a strategic partner to the CEO and the leader of a defined HR function.

You will be responsible for building and leading a 4-person HR team, including:

  • HR Director (This role)
  • HR Specialist
  • Talent Leader
  • Talent Specialist

You will:

  • Design and implement HR processes across the employee lifecycle
  • Own employee relations, compliance, and people-related risk
  • Establish structure, accountability, and clear standards
  • Own HR-related budget and financial discipline
  • Build compensation systems and improve benefits strategy
  • Align HR with Talent (hiring and training) without overlap

This role is about building something durable and scalable—not applying short-term fixes.

What Success Looks Like:

Within 6 Months

  • HR processes are clean, consistent, and system-driven
  • The right team is in place and operating effectively
  • Compensation and benefits are structured and predictable
  • Leaders understand how to use HR effectively
  • HR is trusted across the organization

Longer Term

  • HR becomes a reliable operating system that supports growth
  • Processes scale without becoming bureaucratic
  • The team experiences HR as clear, consistent, and supportive

How You’ll Approach the First 90 Days:

You won’t be expected to come in and overhaul everything immediately.

Instead, you will:

  • Build relationships across the team
  • Understand how the business actually operates
  • Audit and document current HR workflows
  • Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities
  • Improve internal HR processes without creating disruption

We are intentionally sequencing this work to prioritize:

Trust first → Structure second → Scale third

Who You Are

You will likely be a strong fit if you:

  • Have built or significantly improved HR systems in a growing organization
  • Can bring structure without overcomplicating processes
  • Build trust through consistency, clarity, and follow-through
  • Are comfortable working hands-on early, then scaling the function
  • Understand how to support leaders without replacing them

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a purely administrative HR role
  • Not focused on day-to-day recruiting or training execution
  • Not a role where immediate, broad organizational change is expected

Apply

  • If you’re interested in building a structured, scalable HR function and helping bring a clear vision to life inside a growing organization, we’d welcome the conversation.
