HSE Engineer / EHS Coordinator (Safety Supervisor)Location: Humble, TX 77396Compensation: $60,000 to $75,000 DOESchedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (40 Hrs/Week)Overview:We are seeking an HSE Engineer/EHS Coordinator with proven experience implementingand enforcing EHS regulations applicable in the State of Texas in an industrial / manufacturing environment. Successful candidate will ensure, implement, and enforce full compliance with all applicable Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS/OHS) regulations in the State of Texas, in alignment with Client’s internal safety policies, procedures, and standards, promoting a strong safety culture and preventing incidents, non-compliance, and regulatory penalties.Key Responsibilities- Implement, monitor, and enforce EHS/OHS regulations applicable in Texas,including federal, state, and local requirements.
- Ensure all safety programs and procedures are aligned with current Texasregulations and updated as regulations change.
- Implement and maintain Client’s internal safety standards, policies, andprocedures across operations.
- Conduct EHS training and safety inductions for employees and third-partycontractors.
- Supervise high-risk activities performed by operational teams and contractors.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections, identifying risks andproposing corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop, update, and monitor risk assessments (IPERC or equivalent) and safetydocumentation (procedures, work instructions, permits).
- Reinforce electrical safety and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures within theplant.
- Monitor the implementation and progress of the EHS/OHS Program andaction plans.
- Maintain safety communication tools such as signage, safetyboards, and alerts.
- Act as a key contact during audits, inspections, andregulatory visits.
- Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and third parties to ensure safeexecution of work.
Required ProfileEducation- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, SafetyEngineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant industrial EHS experience willbe considered
Experience- Minimum 3 years of experience in EHS / OHS roles within industrial ormanufacturing environments.
- Experience working in high-risk or heavy industry environments(manufacturing, metals, energy preferred).
- Experience implementing safety programs under U.S. regulatory frameworks.
Languages- Fluent Spanish and English are required
