Title: HR Generalist / HR Manager
Salary: up to $95k base salary
100% onsite (South Salt Lake/Utah County)
Position Summary:
The HR Generalist / HR Manager is a key strategic partner who oversees and supports a wide range of human resources functions across the organization. This role requires a proactive, hands-on professional with strong judgment, a solutions-oriented mindset, and a dedication to driving continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service excellence while ensuring compliance with employment regulations and organizational policies. Responsibilities also include coordinating onboarding and safety training programs, managing HR systems and records, and providing backup support for payroll operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities.
- Manage employee benefits administration, leave programs, and workers’ compensation activities.
- Facilitate comprehensive onboarding and safety training programs that support employee integration and workplace safety.
- Provide backup assistance for outsourced payroll processing; experience with Paylocity, Paychex, or ADP is highly desirable.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for employees while consistently upholding company policies and expectations.
- Administer and enhance HRIS platforms to improve data integrity, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with leadership to execute HR strategies, programs, and organizational initiatives.
- Address employee relations matters with professionalism, sound judgment, and a problem-solving mindset.
- Support performance management, employee engagement efforts, and the development and implementation of HR policies.
- Demonstrate adaptability and a proactive, positive approach to meeting changing business priorities,
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes to attract, retain, and transition talent effectively.
Qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline required.
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible HR experience, preferably in a generalist role.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms is required.
- Knowledge of payroll systems such as Paylocity, Paychex, or ADP is preferred, as this position will provide payroll backup support.
- Professional HR certifications, including PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent credentials, are considered an asset.
- Demonstrated experience conducting onboarding and workplace safety training program.
- Solid understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practice.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a professional and approachable style.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, independent environment.
