Position Overview
The Recruiter/ Sr. HR Generalist is a key member of the HR Team who will focus on initial efforts on recruiting but will also function as an HR Generalist in areas such as onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, learning & development, HR projects, and other duties depending on recruiting volume.
The individual in this role should be comfortable handling multiple assignments and can professionally navigate the multi-faceted requirements of a fast-paced, high-achieving Human Resources Team in a manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate with hiring managers to develop accurate job descriptions for each position and partner with third-party agencies to find the best talent available.
- Review incoming applications, conduct phone screens, and assess qualifications against job requirements and salary expectations.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and team members both onsite and remotely, to ensure a smooth candidate process.
- Maintain internal candidate tracker and hiring log to allow for accurate reporting.
- Send formal offers to selected candidates and coordinate with HR Generalist at client HQ to ensure smooth onboarding process for new hire candidates including first day details.
- Provide hands-on support for a shift-based, hourly workforce, including attendance, overtime, and day-to-day employee relations matters.
- Partner with client HQ on employee relations issues and act as the on-site point of contact for initial production start-up period.
- Assist with HR programs and projects if time allows.
- Other duties as required to support the HR team.
Specific Skills/Abilities
- High attention to detail and process-oriented mindset a must
- Able to multitask to maintain multiple requisitions and searches efficiently.
- Foundational HR/Employment law knowledge is a must.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, handle interruption and adjust priorities, and to maintain confidentiality of all HR matters.
- Ability to interact and interface with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of customer service.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field.
- 5+ years of HR Generalist experience. Manufacturing/plant experience preferred.
- 3+ years of recruiting experience in high-volume hiring (manufacturing preferred).
- Strong computer and administrative skills.
- Experience with HRIS systems preferred (ADP a plus).
- HR Certification PHR or SHRM-CP helpful.
- Extensive knowledge of and proficiency in MS Office.
- Bi-lingual Korean/English is a bonus organization.
