Job Description

Avani Living Queen's Wharf Residences is excited to expand our housekeeping department, with two Houseperson Supervisor roles now available on a full-time and part-time basis. If you’re hands-on, reliable, and enjoy supporting both operations and team performance, we’d love to hear from you.

This role combines physical Houseperson duties with supervisory support responsibilities. You’ll play a key role in maintaining presentation standards across guest rooms, common areas and back of house. This will include operational spaces and storage areas. You will be assisting with heavy manual tasks and supporting the Housekeeping Manager with day-to-day coordination of the team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Cross-check guest rooms, back of house and common areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met
  • Support housepersons, room attendants and the housekeeping team with daily operational needs
  • Move, lift, and reposition furniture and equipment as required
  • Assist with deep cleaning tasks and project-based work across the property
  • Support the Housekeeping Manager with daily coordination and task allocation
  • Monitor houseperson & housekeeping progress and report maintenance or operational issues
  • Assist in maintaining stock levels, linen distribution, and housekeeping supplies
  • Provide guidance and on-the-job support to team members
  • Respond to guest requests and assist with enquiries as required


Shift Details (subject to change):

  • Full-time and part-time position available
  • Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
  • Weekend availability is essential
  • Rotating roster across the hours of 5am to 11pm
  • Overnight shifts may be required on an ad hoc basis, depending on business requirements
Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

  • Previous experience within a supervisor position with the housekeeping team (highly regarded)
  • Previous experience as a houseperson or housekeeping position is essential
  • Strong physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks
  • Experience supporting or guiding team members in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high presentation standards
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and support daily operational flow
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude with willingness to lead by example
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
