The ideal candidate combines strong financial rigor with operational intuition, thrives in fast-paced environments, and has deep experience in franchise or multi-unit business models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business performance into clear insights and actionable recommendations
  • Lead long-term planning, including annual budgets and multi-year forecasts tied to franchise expansion

Franchise Performance & Unit Economics

  • Develop a standardized framework for evaluating franchise health across locations and brands
  • Analyze key drivers including:

Partnership with Franchise Development

  • Work closely with the franchise development team to:
  • Evaluate new market opportunities and expansion plans
  • Underwrite new franchise openings and acquisitions
  • Refine growth assumptions and pipeline forecasting
  • Ensure alignment between development strategy and financial outcomes
  • Provide financial support for franchise sales narratives and investor materials

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting process
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful management reporting
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards that drive visibility and accountability across the organization
  • Identify risks and opportunities, and proactively recommend course corrections

Systems, Process & Infrastructure

  • Build scalable financial systems and reporting infrastructure to support rapid growth
  • Improve data quality and consistency across franchise locations and corporate reporting
  • Implement processes that enable real-time visibility into performance
  • Partner cross-functionally (ops, development, marketing) to ensure alignment of financial data and decision-making

Capital Strategy & Investment Analysis

  • Support decisions around capital deployment, financing, and reinvestment
  • Evaluate strategic initiatives including:
  • New brand launches
  • Franchise acquisitions
  • Corporate-owned vs. franchised expansion
  • Develop frameworks to prioritize investments based on risk-adjusted returns

Who You Are

  • Highly analytical with the ability to connect financial data to real-world business drivers
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, and evolving environment
  • Direct communicator who can engage effectively with a founder-led organization
  • Naturally curious and proactive—able to identify issues before they surface
  • Able to operate at both strategic and executional levels (builder + operator mindset)

Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or operating roles
  • Direct experience in franchise, multi-unit, or retail-driven business models strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of building financial models and scaling finance processes in high-growth environments
  • Strong understanding of unit economics, expansion modeling, and multi-location performance analytics
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel / financial modeling; experience with BI tools is a plus
  • Experience working closely with senior leadership or founders

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • Franchise performance is measured, understood, and actively improved across the system
  • Expansion decisions are driven by rigorous financial analysis and clear return frameworks
  • The finance function evolves into a scalable, insight-driven engine supporting rapid growth
