This role will be conducted in a full-time on-site work format, with the individual working at our Cedar Rapids, IA location. To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must currently reside within a reasonable daily commute of our offices at 7825 6th Street SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404. Candidates requiring relocation to the area will not be considered.
This position will be responsible for Government Property Administrative support to our NSS (Navigation & Sensing Systems) site as it pertains to the proper control of Government and Customer Property. This will include ensuring Policies, Procedures and Processes are followed. It will also be responsible for data submission, metrics gathering, preparation and publishing of communications.
Solid understanding and broad application of FAR 52.245-1, FAR Part 45, DFARS and other Government property regulatory requirements. This position works to develop solutions on a variety of problems of increased scope and complexity. Might refer to policies, practices, regulatory clauses, and contract terms and conditions for guidance. Works under minimal direction from supervision and may assist less senior personnel.
This position is responsible to support all applicable number of Contractor Outcomes of the Government Property Control System, including the maintenance of records and issuance of required reports concerning Government and Customer-owned property from its receipt at the company to its final disposition after contract completion or termination. Position includes support of self-audit and support of the Government’s annual survey of the Government Property Control System.
Supports and maintains auditable records of Government and Customer-owned property located at the facility and associated vendor/subcontractor facilities. Ensure that the records include authority to have the property and an audit trail of receipt, inspection, cost, classification, periodic inventory, maintenance, and final disposition.
Support the preparation of internal and external reports pertaining to Government and Customer property. Maintain auditable backup data and files for: Loss, damage or destruction of property (LDD); Report applicable property requirements through Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE); and Reports of inventory and excess property schedules for property no longer required.
Ensure that assets are received properly, and are identified and added to the appropriate system, including RFID.
Annual reviews of vendor/subcontractor’s control of Government and Customer property in coordination with the Purchasing and Subcontracts Departments. This may be accomplished through site visits.
Supports the Self-Assessment, internal and external audits of compliance to published procedures and FAR/DFARS requirements. Supports all aspects of the PMSA’s by interfacing with appropriate department personnel and the DCMA’s Property Administrator, if necessary, to ensure timely completion of any corrective actions necessary.
Responsible for providing backup support regarding Fixed Assets, Capital, and Leases.
HS Diploma (or GED) is required; A college degree is preferred, but professional experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
1+ year of applicable professional experience in Government Property administration, or related experience (0 years of experience, if applicant possesses a relevant 4-year Bachelor's degree, will be considered).
Analytical and computer skills required.

Knowledge of the Oracle eAM Government Property System a plus.
