Golf Course part-time groundskeeper

Perform various duties as directed by the Manager of the University Golf Course in the normal daily upkeep of a golf course. This job entails the manicure of a golf course which includes but is not limited to; mowing, weed whacking, debris pickup, maintenance of various grounds equipment, trash removal, and changing pin and tee locations.
Police grounds for debris, trash, limbs, etc.
20%Mow greens, tees, fairways, and rough areas
50%Change pin/tee marker locations, pick up debris, empty trash cans
15%Clean, wash, grease equipment as needed
15%
Supplemental Functions:
  • Moving and cleaning golf carts
  • Other duties as assigned

Education:
High school diploma or GED

Years of Experience:
Golf course experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to enter hours worked (time entry) on a computer.
Maintain professionalism when dealing with staff and customers while fostering positive working relationships.
Adhere to the governing documents, policies and procedures established by St. Bonaventure University

Working Conditions / Physical requirements:
Physically able to operate mowing and other grounds equipment.
Physically able to lift various materials weighing up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
Work could entail evening and weekend work hours.
