Casco Products Corporation, a global Tier One electronics and electromechanical supplier to the automotive industry, is looking for a Global Manufacturing Manager to join our team. Location can be in Novi, Michigan or Morgantown, Kentucky.

JOB SUMMARY:
As the Global Manager of Manufacturing Engineering, you will oversee and lead all manufacturing engineering activities across multiple regions, ensuring that manufacturing operations are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with global standards. You will work closely with Production, Quality, Program Management and Engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes, introduce new technologies and drive continuous improvement initiatives across multiple facilities worldwide.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Strategy:
- Mentor and develop the manufacturing engineers within the plants, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, innovation targets, and operational excellence.
- Develop and implement global manufacturing engineering strategies, processes and standards to support production goals and meet customer demands.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise to regional manufacturing plants, ensuring alignment with corporate manufacturing strategies.
Process Improvement:
- Identify, evaluate and implement best practices and manufacturing technologies to optimize production processes, improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on Manufacturing Engineering using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma and other process optimization tools.
- Ensure the use of advanced automation, robotics and digital manufacturing technologies to improve production scalability and flexibility.
- Ensure the learned lessons from the current process are taken into consideration for the new products, productions lines and processes.
- Propose impactful projects to continuously optimize the global footprint of the company.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Engineering team and Product Line Managers to provide input on manufacturability during product design phases, ensuring design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles are followed.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Finance and Program Management teams to ensure smooth, scalable and cost-effective manufacturing operations.
- Support the timely launch of new products and initiatives, ensuring successful ramp-ups at global manufacturing facilities.
Global Manufacturing Standardization:
- Lead the development and implementation of global manufacturing engineering standards, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices across all manufacturing plants.
- Standardize tools, equipment, processes and methodologies for all global manufacturing sites.
- Monitor performance across regions, ensuring adherence to global standards, KPIs and regulatory requirements.
Resource & Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the annual budget for the manufacturing engineering departments, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Oversee the procurement and deployment of equipment and tooling across global facilities, ensuring optimal utilization of capacity and long-term ROI.
- Propose and manage the necessary Capex to launch new products or optimize the existing ones.
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure manufacturing engineering processes comply with industry standards, customer specifications and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO/TS16949, IATF 16949, etc.).
- Partner with the Quality team to address any manufacturing-related quality issues and to ensure that quality control systems are in place for both existing and new processes.
Talent Development:
- Identify training and development opportunities for manufacturing engineering personnel and develop career paths for high-potential employees.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning and technical excellence within the engineering team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering within the automotive or similar high-tech industries with product including electronics, mechanical and software, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing global teams.
- Extensive experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies for optimizing manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience in launching new products and managing cross-functional projects from concept to production.
- Strong experience in defining and standardizing the production lines and processes design across the sites.
- Strong understanding of automation technologies, manufacturing systems integration, digitalization.
- Experience with high-volume automotive production, including assembly of electronics and mechanical components preferred.
- Hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing technologies like AI, IoT and Industry 4.0 preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and regions.
- Deep technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, automotive production systems and quality control standards.
- Fluency in English (other languages like French a plus), with the ability to interact with a global audience and adapt to cultural differences.
- Ability to analyze data, set goals and measure KPIs to ensure manufacturing excellence.
- Strong project management skills preferred, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Global travel to Casco plants as well as equipment suppliers required, at least 50%.
- While performing the duties of this job, employees regularly work in an office setting and virtually.
