POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a general liability and/or professional liability litigation associate with 3+ years of experience to join our San Francisco office. As a general liability and professional liability attorney at LBBK, you will defend clients across a broad range of matters with direct partner mentorship, meaningful client contact, and real opportunities for practice development and professional growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Defend clients in a broad range of general liability and professional liability matters, including premises liability, products liability, errors and omissions, and related claims
- Investigate general liability and professional liability claims and defenses, analyze liability and damages, and develop case handling strategies
- Conduct legal research and analysis in support of general liability and professional liability defense strategies
- Draft letters, memos, motions, and pleadings across general liability and professional liability practice areas
- Prepare discovery requests/responses and take/defend depositions
- Represent clients at court conferences, hearings, mediations, and trial/arbitration in San Francisco-area state and federal courts
- Communicate regularly with partners, associates, paralegals, clients, and opposing counsel
- Meet a 1,850 annual billable hours requirement
COMPENSATION
Base salary of $150,000 – $200,000 annually, depending on experience. Multiple bonus programs including:

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
- Current California Bar admission in good standing
- 3+ years of experience handling general liability and/or professional liability litigation matters
- Excellent writer with strong attention to detail in general liability and professional liability contexts
- Effective oral communication skills
- Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills and responsiveness
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced general liability and professional liability litigation environment
- Comfortable handling court appearances; experience with depositions and mediations required
- Trial experience in general liability or professional liability matters preferred but not required
