Geotechnical Lab Technician

Job Title: Geotechnical Lab Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Geotechnical Lab Technician who can independently manage projects within our laboratory. The position involves overseeing geotechnical testing and processes, with opportunities to engage in field assignments as well as in-office testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee geotechnical testing and analysis.
• Independently manage assigned laboratory projects.
• Participate in both field assignments and office testing when required.
• Ensure accuracy and quality in test results and reporting.
• Utilize tools such as nuclear gauges for soil density and concrete testing.

Essential Skills

• Experience in soil testing and geotechnical analysis.
• Familiarity of construction materials testing.
• Competency in report writing and soil compaction techniques.
• Completion of a radiation safety course.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Geotechnical lab experience is preferred.
• Open to entry-level candidates seeking a career in the geotechnical field.
• Certification such as SB101/102/103 or NICET Level 1 in Soils, Concrete, Asphalt is advantageous.

Work Environment

The role is within a department of approximately 20 people, with a smaller, close-knit Geotechnical team.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
