We are now hiring for an General Manager in Training. As an General Manager in Training, you’ll start learning our business from day one. You will be entrusted to serve as both the face of Menchie’s to customers and partners and the behind-the-scenes operational expert. In the program, you will master the knowledge and skills you need to manage the store, cultivate new business and develop your team.
In our hands-on learning environment, you will receive the guidance, mentoring, and support you need to be successful. You will also get out into the community and establish the relationships essential to building your own business. We’ll teach you how to excel at customer service, sales and marketing, finance, and operations. And you’ll learn what it means to always put our customers first.
Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Direct day-to-day operations with a hands-on, "working manager" approach. You will supervise team performance to ensure a clean, safe, and flawlessly run environment that provides the highest level of service from open to close.
- Guest Experience: Serve as the ultimate ambassador for our brand. You will actively work the front lines, inspiring and coaching your team to deliver exceptional customer service and guarantee a memorable Guest Experience.
- Staff Development: Foster a positive, team-oriented culture through continuous Staff Development. You will establish clear job responsibilities, communicate performance expectations, and mentor your direct reports to ensure mutual understanding and success.
- P&L Accountability: Treat the location like your own business by mastering the P&L (Profit & Loss). You will make strategic, entrepreneurial decisions to drive revenue while effectively managing labor and operating costs.
- Inventory Management: Execute precise Inventory Management to ensure your location is always fully stocked and ready to serve, all while keeping waste low and controlling costs.
- Sales & Local Marketing: Act as a true business owner by driving top-line sales and championing local marketing initiatives to deeply connect with and grow your community footprint.
Qualifications
- High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in sales, customer service, management or leadership.
- Ability to develop rapport, trust, and open communication that enhances the growth and job performance of direct reports
- Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience
- Is resourceful and versatile in responding to changing demands and opportunities in a rapidly changing omni-channel retail environment
- Initiates completion of tasks or activities without necessary supervision
- Flexible availability – including nights, weekends, and holidays
- This position requires a valid driver’s license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
