About Piccolo Morini

Piccolo Morini is the latest concept from Altamarea Group — the award-winning hospitality group behind Marea, Ai Fiori, and 53 — bringing a fresh, high-energy take on Italian dining to SoHo. Rooted in handcrafted pasta and Italian small plates, Piccolo Morini captures the spirit of convivial dining with a focus on quality, consistency, and guest experience.


We are seeking a General Manager to lead the opening and ongoing operations of Piccolo Morini. This role requires a strong, hands-on leader who can build and develop a high-performing team, drive service standards, and create a consistent, welcoming guest experience in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all front-of-house operations with a focus on service, hospitality, and execution
  • Build, train, and develop a strong FOH team aligned with company standards
  • Drive a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and daily operations to ensure efficiency
  • Maintain high standards of guest experience and resolve issues effectively
  • Partner with culinary leadership to ensure alignment between FOH and BOH
  • Manage financial performance including labor, cost control, and revenue goals


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a General Manager or senior leadership role
  • Background in high-volume, quality-driven restaurant environments
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage operations, staffing, and financial performance
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering consistent guest experiences
  • Ability to walk, lift, stand, kneel, bend, lift for long periods of time
