Position Overview

The General Manager at Ivy’s will serve as the premier architect of the guest experience, playing a central role in the pre-opening strategy, concept refinement, and high-profile launch of this landmark destination. This executive leadership position is designed for a sophisticated hospitality professional who possesses a rare blend of creative vision and rigorous operational discipline. We are seeking a seasoned leader with a distinguished background in multi-unit management and a proven mastery of the highly structured systems that define world-class corporate hospitality.

In this role, you will curate an atmosphere of modern sophistication while honoring the soulful, vintage charm of Old Florida. Beyond overseeing daily front-of-house operations, the General Manager is responsible for cultivating a culture of "vibrant hospitality"—where team members are empowered to forge genuine connections and every guest interaction is treated as an opportunity to create a lasting memory.

Partnering closely with the Corporate Chef, you will ensure a seamless synergy between our elevated, seafood-forward culinary program and a service standard that is as polished as it is welcoming. As a primary steward of the We Care Hospitality brand, you will balance the art of guest experience with the science of profitability, implementing robust systems to scale Ivy’s success alongside our rapidly expanding portfolio


Key Responsibilities

Pre-Opening & Concept Development

  • Brand Alignment: Partner with ownership to ensure the FOH guest experience reflects the "Old Florida with a modern touch" brand identity.
  • Operational Flow: Define and implement the floor plan, guest flow, and front-of-house operational systems to ensure seamless service in a high-volume waterfront setting.
  • Service Standards: Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all front-of-house positions, ensuring a level of service that matches the elevated coastal cuisine.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work in lockstep with the Corporate Chef during the concept launch to align the seafood-forward menu with beverage pairings and table-side hospitality.


Talent Acquisition & Culture Building

  • Recruitment: Lead the search and hiring process for the FOH team, seeking individuals who embody the "genuine connection" mission.
  • Training Programs: Create and execute comprehensive training modules that focus on hospitality excellence, product knowledge, and accountability.
  • Mission Integration: Establish a culture of "vibrant hospitality" from day one, ensuring the team is committed to caring for guests and each other.


Systems & Financial Foundation

  • Inventory & Vendor Setup: Establish FOH vendor relationships and implement inventory management systems for the beverage and smallwares programs.
  • Launch Strategy: Coordinate with the operations team on the grand opening timeline, including soft openings and community outreach to local boaters and professionals.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure all FOH systems meet or exceed local health and safety regulations before the doors open to the public.


Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of progressive leadership in upscale casual or fine dining, including experience in high-volume waterfront environments.
  • Corporate Background: Proven experience in a hospitality organization utilizing structured systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to mentor teams and build a culture focused on genuine guest connections.
  • Skills: Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, labor control, and organizational skills.
