Job Title: General Laborer / Yard Associate – Scaffolding Team
Job Description
This role starts as a Yard Associate supporting a busy scaffolding operation and can progress into a traveling scaffold builder position working on construction sites across the Charlotte area. You will work primarily outdoors, handling scaffolding materials, loading and unloading trucks, taking inventory, and supporting carpenters and foremen. As you grow in the role, you will help erect and dismantle scaffolding on job sites and have the opportunity to build a long-term career in the scaffolding and construction industry.

Work Environment
You will work primarily outdoors on active construction sites and in a large scaffolding yard. The scaffolding location is one of the largest divisions, featuring an open yard facility and a large two-story indoor building of up to approximately 70,000 square feet. The indoor facility includes break rooms, water coolers, and vending machines to support comfort during breaks. The work involves frequent heavy lifting, handling scaffolding materials, and using hand tools such as hammers and tape measures in an industrial and construction setting. You will work in various weather conditions while on job sites and in the yard, and you will use safety equipment such as harnesses when working at height after the initial training period. The environment is fast-paced, safety-focused, and team-oriented, with a strong emphasis on proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective gear appropriate for construction and yard work.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
