General Laborer

Join our dynamic scaffolding team as a Yard Associate, where you will initially work on stationing and retrieving equipment on the property. You will sort through scaffold materials, load and unload company trucks, and take inventory of materials. As you transition to traveling across different job sites, you will set up job sites, build and erect scaffolding, move materials, assist foremen, and dismantle builds.

Responsibilities

• Station and retrieve equipment on the location's property.
• Sort scaffold materials in the yard.
• Load and unload company trucks for carpenters and foremen.
• Take inventory of material in the yard.
• Set up job sites in the morning and build/erect scaffolding.
• Move materials around the site and assist foremen with other duties.
• Travel across the Charlotte area to different job sites.
• Help dismantle scaffolds as a helper.
• Utilize hand tools like hammers to build scaffolds.
• Set up scaffolds while working outside.
• Load company trucks and assist foremen with building and dismantling units.
• Wear a harness for heights up to 10 feet, with certification for higher heights after 90 days.
• Potential to get certified as a scaffold carpenter for a pay rate increase.

• Experience in production, general labor, and heavy lifting.
• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Ability to work outside in construction environments.
• Mechanical aptitude and skills in carpentry, framing, landscaping, and demolition.
• Proficiency in commercial construction, tape measure use, roofing, and yard work.

• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and carpentry is a plus.
• Any hands-on experience is beneficial.

Work Environment

Work primarily takes place outside on construction sites, with the largest division located at Sunbelt Scaffolding's open yard facility spanning up to 70k square feet. The site includes a large two-story indoor facility equipped with break rooms, water coolers, and vending machines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Charlotte,NC.
